Extreme surf fishing connotes a lot of meeting for a fisherman. Extreme surf fishing may refer to the extreme weather conditions a surf fisherman faces during the start of fishing season. This is the period where the reproductive stage occurs, mate, lay eggs, and give birth. This is the opportune type for an angler to have the chance of a lifetime to hook 500 lb specie while fishing from the bank.

Extreme surf fishing requires a different kind of gear, it is not the garden variety surf fishing equipment for some may only be acquired in hardware stores. The shark fishing reel must be at 16/0, the line as long as 3000 yards with an 80lb test and a sturdy rod to put it all in. Reeling a shark requires a lot of strength, patience and endurance, many are called but only a select few can understand the excitement and drama behind extreme surf fishing.
